Motivated myself today to apply for 5 jobs!!! Set up one interview for tomorrow and had one interview on the spot! Seemed like they really really liked me and potentially wanted me to apply for a management position right away! Yay!
Got THE CUTEST purse at Macy's today. I know I shouldn't have, but they were having a sale so it was like half off, and I can return it if I don't get a job soon.
(Nine West Dark Angel Shopper from Piperlime, in case anyone wants to report me...)
Sweet!!! :)
Also, went to Red Lobster for dinner! Coconut shrimp and shrimp linguine, plus they gave us extra cheesy biscuits! Yum!
And, ran 3.5 miles today. I didn't have much time to listen to music, so my only motivational songs are "The Magic" by B.O.B. because it's so darn catchy and makes me dance in the car and "Dreams" by Van Halen. Dreams is one of my favorite songs ever, so that makes it super motivational and epic. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
Missed ANTM because of dinner, but I know who got double eliminated, and I don't really agree. So, more commentary to come!
Back to back Friends episodes of babies being born! That's a coincidence.
Also, heard November Rain on the radio again. While driving home with my full Red Lobster stomach. With good job thoughts in my head. I smiled the whole way home. And today was a good day. :)

Wine + Gossip Girl: Success or Fail?
I hope you're caught up on Gossip Girl, because if you aren't, you might want to hold off on reading until the next section. I will tell you when it's ok to read. Anyway...I can't believe I have to wait 2 weeks to find out what happens next! WTF is up with Juliet? I had no idea that Katie Cassidy's role on the show was going to last this long! Seems like whatever her motive is, it's going to be a couple more weeks before we figure out the deal because it's going to be intense. Hmmmm. The drugging Serena was insane though, I just cannot imagine why she would want to sabotage every facet of her life. Finally, the writing on this show is becoming worthwhile! Hope Serena is ok, can't wait to see what goes on with her and Dan next episode, and stupid Chuck and Blair, just FIGURE IT OUT. You want to be together, you love each other, come to a compromise. The end.

Usually I don't get too passionate about TV, but part of that rant was due to wine. Had a glass with some chicken kiev and peas, and couldn't resist a second glass during my guilty pleasure show. Now I'm totally tips and can't do anything too productive (like applying for more jobs), so that means it's blog time! ;) Also watched Romy and Michele's High School Reunion right before Gossip Girl. The dance scene to Time After Time always cracks me up, plus I love the use of the word "deludinoid" and the amazing 80's soundtrack! Love!
Other: had another interview today that went really well, did 3+ miles between the treadmill and elliptical, had a happy Spill Canvas moment in the car because the music epically fit with the lights and the skyline. Fantastic.
LOTS of great songs today!:
Lose Yourself-Eminem (I used to rock out to this in high school!)
Snow-RHCP
Sadie Hawkins Dance-Relient K (oh 2002, I miss you a little. FUSES.)
I Won't Back Down- Tom Petty (love!)
Burning Up- Spill Canvas (cute)
Disturbia- Rihanna (catchy!)
We Belong- Pat Benatar (I'm a sucker for 80s)
Bringing on The Heartbreak- Def Leppard (see we belong)
Sending Postcards From A Plane Crash- Fall Out Boy (at one point they were good, PROMISE)
Peace of Heaven- Cascada
Burning For You- Blue Oyster Cult
Heat of the Moment- Asia (like...my favorite workout song ever. I don't even know why!)
The Future Freaks Me Out- Motion City Soundtrack
Into the Groove-Madonna (super love!)
Ross says "hi" in a really depressing voice frequently on Friends. I just noticed this now.
Anyway, thank you for my first comment Mark, I know this is my blog and I am making it my own, but SOON I want to have more INTERESTING CONTENT to report. Besides trying to make it look like I'm getting a lot done every day even though I'm kind of not! At least I'm staying positive! Tomorrow I should be hearing back from both jobs, so I'm crossing my fingers! :)

Snow, and lots of it.
I've lived in Minnesota all my life, and I still cant believe how fast the weather changes. On Monday I went for a walk wearing a light sweatshirt, Tuesday I went to the gym wearing shorts and flip flops, Wednesday I was outside for hours and it was sunny and like 60 degrees, and today when I woke up there was at least 6 inches of snow. Out come the boots and the mittens and the real coat. Out come the snow brush and ice scraper. When I drove (carefully) through the park today, the same park that was full of crunchy leaves and grass all week, it was one solid mass of white, snow sticking to the trees. I'm not really bothered by winter that much, partly because I have a row of really cute coats in my closet that I love to wear, and partly because I'm just used to it. Seriously, you think Minneapolis weather is bad? Duluth is way worse. I've learned to be a trooper! But the rapid season changes still amaze me and the first snow still takes my breath away. I also wish I had been able to take a picture of the hundreds of geese on the golf course pond, it was absolutely surreal. I can't believe how much I've learned to appreciate the seasons as I've grown up.
Anyway, besides my gym trip, the snow has made for a stay inside sort of day. So...here's what I have to report!
7 random songs that put me in a good mood today: I highly recommend listening to them!
Human by The Killers. I don't really like them, but for some reason I love this song!
November Rain by GNR. It's November. It's precipitating. The guitar solo. Who can resist this 9 minutes of awesome?
The Best Damn Thing by Avril Lavigne. So wrong it's right. I totally wanted to scream "I'm the best damn thing that your eyes have ever seen" while on the treadmill, because I was ALMOST the only person at the gym today. Stupid guy that's ALWAYS at the gym. Sometime I will have my moment to sing!
Animal I Have Become by Three Days Grace. Hey, didn't know I had this song! Catchy in a rock way. Good for running. I was enthused.
I Love My Computer by Bad Religion. I have heard this song approximately 1000 times in my life. I almost miss listening to it on ringback every time I called S. Almost.
Song for Tricia/Princes and Frogs by Superchic(k). This reminded me of you, LL. Someday we'll find our fairy tale instead of used car sale(sman).
Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus. Middle school. I just want to cry when she asks him to the Iron Maiden concert. I'M A BIG DORK. DON'T JUDGE.
In other news:
Today I applied for 3 jobs, had a wonderful hour long conversation with my Mom (also can't believe how close we've gotten now that I'm not a teenager), ran 3.25 miles, cleaned and did dishes, and refrained from making potatoes. I still made bacon though. I just can't win.
There's a car alarm going off in the parking lot that keeps going off every half hour or so. It's like the alarm is stuck, but that usually only happens when it's 30 below. I'm thoroughly confused.
Yep, my life is a bit boring today. Sorry. Whatev. Really, this post has no purpose. But if I get in the habit of blogging on a regular basis, maybe ideas will start to develop a bit better. Here's to hoping! In the meantime, any topics/advice/feedback would be appreciated! Hope you're enjoying your weekend! :)

So...I have a blog!
I've been meaning to start this all summer, and today I suddenly found inspiration. Well sort of. I found inspiration to start the account, but changing the settings so this looks unique instead of like my high school Xanga is a whole different story. I'll get to that eventually.
So..my blog is going to be a lot like my brain...random and disorganized. I will write about what I feel like talking about for the day. Many subjects could be covered. You never quite know what to expect from me. I'm thinking some things you might see in this blog include: recipes (I made awesome meatloaf and garlic mashed potatoes this week, and I made my easy pot pie again because it always makes everything better), how much I ran on a given day (4 miles on Tuesday, quite an accomplishment for me), things I really want to go shopping for (I haven't bought shoes in 6 months and I think I really need some platform pumps), the type of wine I'm drinking right now (Yellow Tail Pinot Grigio, last night St.Croix Vineyard Seyval), a song or artist of the day that you need to go re-familiarize yourself with (today I heard What's My Age Again on the radio...enough said), miscellaneous rants (WHY did I apply for a job at Mall of America if the parking situation during the holidays is going to drive me insane?), my opinions on what happened on Gossip Girl and ANTM this week (the fact that Jane didn't get sent home completely made my day), the number of times I've eaten bacon or potatoes this week (bacon 1, potatoes FOUR, sadly...really, what do you call someone that's addicted to potatoes? Do they have support groups for this?), my inspirational song lyric of the day ("I'm jumping off the edge, I know it's a long way down, but you can't walk the wire for anybody else, I might hit the ground, but at least I'll have a story to tell, she said, I'm gonna find out for myself"...Brie Larson...this is a teenybopper song like no other, but it kind of speaks to where I am in my life right now, and Brie also plays a lovely role in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, which you NEED to see), and most importantly, something or things I'm happy or excited about this week (my interview today went really really well, the weather was gorgeous and I walked around the lake TWICE, I got to model jazzy outfits for my friend's class project, I splurged on a really cute dress at Target that I will wear for the holidays with a cardigan and tights, AND best of all, I keep realizing every day how many people there are in my life that care about me, that I can consider good friends. I've been feeling a little down recently but this week I realized how loved I really am. Best feeling I could ask for.).
And...there was a random, babble-filled preview of what my blog will be about. Ugh, seriously, who is ever going to want to read this? I hope you still do, but if not, I'm still going to write anyway. I don't want my blog to be a popularity contest. I just want a place to speak my mind. Anyway...time to go get ready to do something fun tonight!
Songs to listen to: Sunsets and Car Crashes by the Spill Canvas
Carry on Wayward Son by Kansas
She Said by Brie Larson (STOP ROLLING YOUR EYES)
Last but not least....Here is my dress!
Lace Bib Slip Dress
I want to put a picture but I'm not sure how to do that yet
